Careers
Working together to achieve positive, lasting change for young people.
At LCS, we know it takes a huge range of people with an even bigger range of skills to help young people leaving care to develop the skills, confidence and contacts to live a happy, successful independent life. That’s why we need you.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for people who are dedicated to supporting young people. Your skills and passion might be in directly working with young people to overcome their barriers and set and achieve their personal goals.
Or maybe you thrive on providing administrative support, managing rotas and building relationships with key organisations like letting agencies.
You could be an experienced professional looking for new challenges, or someone at the start of their career.
Regardless, if you’re passionate about supporting some of the most vulnerable people in the country, we want to hear from you.
Why you should work with us
At LCS, we believe staff are one of our most important assets – and we’ll offer you an incredible amount of support to be able do your job successfully. You’ll benefit from a competitive salaried position, a supportive management structure, generous holiday allowances and a personalised development plan that can help you progress your career in the direction you want.
We’ll also offer you a company pension, On-the-Job accredited training (including level 3 diplomas) and access to an Employee Benefits Portal which includes discounts from thousands of companies and a comprehensive Employee Assistance Programme.
We’re proud to be a Disability Confident Employer, and have signed the Mindful Employer Charter. And these are just a few of our awards.
All of our staff take part in a values-based interview – which means if you’re successful you’ll be working with a team of people who share your values, commitments and dedication.
So if you want a career where you can help make a difference every day, and be supported by a national organisation who will truly value you – we’re excited to meet you!

Our Approach
LCS knows that every young person is different. We don’t believe in ‘one size fits all’. We understand that we need to earn trust and respect by being reliable, safe and having caring staff who you can get to young people gradually. We won’t assume how they feel – it’s up to them to tell us when the time is right.
Our Placements
Our placements include 24/7 staffed shared houses for multiple placements, including a female only unit, as well as a variety of standalone flats with floating support and bespoke placements. Our bespoke placements accommodate high risk, vulnerable young people with one to one support around the clock.
